laartista - Thanks again for your quick help!! Yes, we leave in less than 35 hrs - but whose counting. Thanks for answering my questions and just providing a great trip report that got me even MORE excited to be going.

LaA'ta - Don't know if you - or any other dedicated readers of this amazing thread - were around in the 'early days' of Fodors when a trip reporter named Elvira was posting hilarious accounts of her travel adventures...but you are the best thing to have come along since then!

I 'happened on' this report, just captured by the Lisbon reference -- we'll dock there 3/31 after a crossing from Florida -- and I could not stop reading, even though I had to hold one aching, weary eye shut for the past hour.

So much information and personality and truly ROFLMAO humor! Spouse was even willing to have me interrupt his nightly Seinfeld episode to hear the latest adventure of LaA and Robin! I LOVED the camel jokes...loved the souk adventure (I have a bit of the 'Robin gene', but have only had fun exercising it in Mexico) and really enjoyed hearing how impressed you were with Lisbon (someplace we'd never have considered going if it weren't where the ship docks....)

I get paid for feature writing.....and could not touch the job you've done with this report. You really do have another career calling.

Can't wait to click the link to see your work - we really like tile and ceramic work - but that will have to wait til tomorrow (and interrupt the packing for our 3/19 sail date)...the eyes are giving out tonight.

Thank you for a wonderfully well-done, forthright and enormously entertaining read!!

OMG- Thank you so much Tuck! Really nice words and I appreciate them. I'm not the best at including restaurant names and food and things of the such. I try to capture the experience of being someplace new and what it felt like to me. As far as the humor, well sometimes the funniest things are in the details and how you observe them. So again thanks so much for your post.
I always feel weird to keep topping my reports after they are done for a while, but want to acknowledge people who take the time to write such nice things and answer any questions I can.

Just hopped over from the Asia board in case you didn't see my reply to you over there. Wanted to let you know that I'm a big fan of your report too...Cosmic how we both had earaches on our trips.

Also green with envy about your move to Barcelona, one of my favorite places on the planet.

Thank you so much for your wonderful report. I recently read your southern France/Italy report after thinking about going to Nice this summer, enjoyed it so much that I searched if you had done any other reports this year. Wow! Now I'm thinking of Lisbon and Morocco! What a treat it was to read!

I would love to read a collection of your travel tales!! =D>

Laartista, please follow up with the interested publisher! A book with your travel tales will make for such enjoyable reading! And they can add a few nice coloured photo's!
