A trip to Tuscany

We have 7 days in the Tuscany (with a car) and our home base is right outside of Florence. This is what we have on paper for today. I know this is to much to do in the amount of time we have. What is a must to see/visit and what should we save for the next time?

Day1: S222-- Greve in Chianti, Castellina ,Gaiole in Chianti (S408), Radda in Chianti (S429), Badia a Coltibuono (S429), Panzano

Day2: San Gimignano (S68), Barberino Di Val D'elsa, Colle Di Val D'elsa

Day3: Siena & Castelnuovo Berardenga

Day4: South of Siena, Montalcino (S2), Montepulciano (S146), Asciano (S438), San Quirico (S2)
Pienza (S146), Chiaciano Terme (S146), Chiusi (S146), Buoncovento (S2)

Day5: Florence

Day6: The Super Strada -- San Casciano in Val di Pesa, Tavarnelle Val di Pesa

Hi
Your intinerary looks fine except for day 4, seems like a lot of driving. Chiusi is over an hour and a half from Florence. I'll let others comment on your intinerary as well but will share 3 restaurants with you.
Arnolfo in Colle di Val d'Elsa 2 Michelin stars, Villa Il Patriarca 1 michelin star just outside of Chiusi and Zaira in centro storico Chuisi. All these places have great and varied menus that you will die for. Enjoy!

Thank you for the restaurant suggestions Lewis. We love dining and tasting wine from the local vineyards.

Lewis -- What do you suggest for DAY 4? Should I cute half the stops out and just enjoy the drive?
Thx!

I agree about Day 4. Cut out some of the stops. Which ones? That's a toughie. Montepuliciano, Montalcino and Pienza alone are more than a day's activity.
To help you refine your entire itinerary, I strongly recommend one of the Eyewitness Top 10 Travel Guides, specifically, "Top 10 Tuscany," published by Dorling, Kindersley Publishing. It's readily available at Barnes & Noble, Amazon and elsewhere.
We found it (as have others on the forum) to be of invaluable help.

Sloooooow down. You're in Tuscany.
Enjooooy yourself. Save the running for room to room in the Uffizi.
Say this three times-Montalciano, Montalciano, Montalciano. There, don't you feel better?

Day 4 is an absolute killer. If you get a nice early start, I recommend heading for Montepulciano first and spending the morning there. Lunch in Pienza and a stroll around town -- it's small. Late afternoon in Montalcino so you can taste the Brunellos at the Fortezza wine bar, then dinner in town. That way you'll have the shortest drive back after dinner.

Colle is a charming town that I love, but Volterra has more to offer, including a wonderful Etruscan museum if you like that sort of thing. So for Day 2 I would head for Volterra first, have lunch there, and end up in San Gim in the afternoon so you can have dinner there, see the town when most of the tourist hordes have departed, and have a gelato at one of Italy's best gelateria. It's in the piazza with the well, and it's not the one on the corner but the one in the middle of the row of buildings. Oh yeah!
