A thing from the metro (London evening paper) I like.

They seem to have a thing about people nicking bridges. Read the picture captions:

Not just bridges. Naked blokes too (BTW THe Metro is a serious paper, clearly a sub editor is enjoying himself):

And swans (I love this story):

I'm sure the garden hose man has a very naggy wife who doesn't want dirt tracked into the house!

<Authorities believe that it may have been the same naked gas mask-wearing guy. >

So how many of these fellows do they think are running around the town?

Pittsburgh , PA had a very famous bridge to nowhere too. Even with road blocks damn fool drivers would head over it and topple off!

Are they really SURE the garden guy was using a hose or was it something else?

:))

This is why I really don't need any other news source. A digest of the world's important events is delivered daily to my screen by alert correspondents.

In nude man story #3, photo shows subject's big pink backside, but crops out the interesting part: the gas mask. Stern letter to be fired off to Metro editor first thing in the morning.

What a hoot! Thank you for posting it. I have bookmarked the website to keep up with other odd news. :-)

I loved the caption on the second photo--yes, this is the standard stock photo we use whenever someone steals a bridge---I thought it looked familiar from the first link!
