I am not hearing much good about Andrews credit union. Glad didn't bother with trying to get one of their chip and pin cards!!

Kind a funny about your guy from Florida at Ste Chappelle. We are going Christmas Eve and will be taking all kinds of hand warmers, wraps etc....to stay toasty.

Yes, that surprised me too, Ziggy. Why would a Christian (mostly) cemetery be closed on a Sunday?

Food.

We ate street food and market food and take out food from bakery's that was delightfully wonderful, and had a few splurges as well. We also supported neighboring establishments that were near our hotel.

Les 110 Tallivient. GraceJoan's and Denisea's recommendation. Friday night, they are packed but the food is served timely and it is wonderful. I had the Turbo. Absolutely perfect, great evening with a very patient and wonderful staff. Its hard to chose but we probably had the best deserts at this restaurant.

Bistro Paul Bert. I expected better. Sort of a let down but maybe I had unreal expectations for a bistro. We did not get there until 22:00 or so and the place was jam packed. I was going to give it another try but they were closed on the night we had free.

Michel Rostang. Our last meal in Paris. I could not have picked a better restaurant. Absolutely perfect in every way. I had an artichoke and white truffle soup for a starter that was heavenly. One of the top 10 dishes I have ever eaten. It was a Tuesday night and the place was packed at 9:00. He isn't the new, hip chef so his restaurant doesn't get the ink of other places, but in my opinion it is a first class restaurant all the way. This is my idea of a romantic restaurant, every table gets it's own space, not packed in like sardines. He deserves his stars.

ziggy- first trip to Paris, my DD and I also got on the wrong train once. No prob- get off and catch the right one! (Our motto: "How bad can it be? We're in Paris!!") :)

I am not arguing, but this is from google, if it is wrong I will be disappointed. I am forced to return to Paris to find Marcel Marceau's grave and pay my respects.

Thanks kerouac, next time I will know better. I thought it odd that a Cemetary would be closed on Sunday. Also thanks for posting your pictures of the Grande Galerie de l'Evolution. I was not sure of the proper way to point anyone interested in your report.

Looking back at my report I see it is more about style than substance, just like our time in Paris. We were there for 7 days and could have seen a lot more if we hurried. We have learned that our style of vacation is more relaxed, I often call us windshield explorers because we put on a lot of miles. We saw more stuff than I wrote in this report but it is getting a little long winded. I think we accomplished what a vacation is supposed to do. We enjoyed our time immensely and came home with a larger appreciation for what we have.
Like the saying goes: Happiness is wanting what you have.

Your relaxed style was perfect for a first visit. Paris should never be a death march to see everything imaginable in just one week!
