A Quick Florence Question re:airport

Hi there..just a quick question about getting to the airport in Florence. If we have a 7 a.m. flight departing Florence, how long will it take us to get from the city centre to the airport? And what would be the best way to get there?
regards,
Michael

You should arrive at the airport NO LATER than 6:00 a.m. A taxi from downtown will take 15 minutes, and cost approx. 15-20 Euros. There is an airport bus from the train station, but I'm not sure whether it runs early enough to reach the airport by 6:00 a.m.

I agree with gac. Taking a taxi is the quickest and less stressful way to go to the airport.

Agree about the taxi BUT make sure you havethe hotel you are staying at reserve a taxi for you other wise you wil be out of luck.

The airport bus "Vola in Bus" has its first scheduled run to the airport from the train station at 5:30 a.m. Tickets are 4 Euros per person. Nevertheless, I would still prefer the taxi, reserved the evening beforehand, particularly if there are two or more in your party.

There's an airport in Florence? Why did BA tell us we have to go to Piza?

UhOh...that's because BA doesn't fly into Florence, it only flies into Pisa.
