A photo report of a bygone trip to Turkey
I'm slowly scanning 4x6 photos from a trip to Turkey in 2001 and hope that my last-decade pleasures in film will translate reasonably well to the web. Anyway, hope this link works!
I'm starting with our photos to Cappadocia - one of the most amazing places we've been.
We stayed in the Gamirasu Hotel in Ayvali. The hotel had been opened no more than a year at that time, and a tiny town: one street with a cafe and store with only basic necessities. Homes were on streets that radiated out from the center. As we walked around, EVERYONE stopped to check us out or to invite us for tea or to have a photo taken.

(more to come if this works!)

Paule: Does not work..URL not found. What system did you use to scan? I use Dell Scanner and Camera Wizard. I've been steadily scanning some old, including some very old black and whites. For eample here are Turkey 1995's. There's something that you're not doing correctly obviously/ Hope you can get it going.

Hi, Stu,
I'm completely baffled by the interface between the various components of the websites.
The scans are fine - that's not the issue. It's the interface between applications that I just can't figure out.
I've got a mac and uploaded to Photobucket, but put the link into Metamark to shorten it. When I click on the link I posted, it does bring me to correct link -- but I know that doesn't mean that everyone does. I'm not sure if it's the slightly older operating system or mac or what, but it's completely baffling my slightly older operating brain!
Maybe I'll try again with the picasaweb. If anyone has any suggestons, please feel free to let me know!

Stu,
Here are the links without shortening them; I'll also send you my emails and see if that makes a difference.

I'm about ready to give up on the photo sharing websites. I've never had much luck with them.

Thanks for the feedback - it's giving me incentive to scan more photos of the trip.
I'm glad that people are able to open the links; I'm still trying to find the best one for showing photos.
More to come when I finally do some more scanning...

Hello,
I am from Turkey and in abroad now. Haven`t seen my family for a long time and when I looked at your photos I felt something so deep. I loved your photos. They brought a smile on my face. Thanks for sharing.
