kerouac, lovely to see on a very dark rainy morning. And it brings up a nice memory. Thank you for posting it.

Yes, almond croissants, I dream of those. And on a beautiful fall day, a walk through Luxembourg Gardens.

A walk through Père Lachaise, lunch at La Factorie - an Irish coffee for dessert - the Parc Belleville and the market there if it's the right day, an amble down into the 11ème and on to the the Marais and the Place des Vosges, finishing up with a drink at Le Perchoir Marais followed by a big pastrami sandwich.

It was a magical morning.
Cold (compared to a week in Greece).
Rainy, which made for fantastic photos.
Not enough time, but a wonderful unexpected morning in Paris.

Square REne Viviani - across from Notre Dame
I'll try to load some more photos. I uploaded several onto my FB page.
It was lovely.

Thanks all. I have so many more. I took an Uber over to the ET area (headed that way to buy some souvenirs and gifts) then back to the hotel for breakfast. Out again for the Jardin du Luxeumbourg.

It was a wonderful morning!

Breakfast at Le Bonaparte, a walk to get breakfast "dessert" (pain au chocolat) at Gerard Mulot and then on to Luxembourg Gardens. A super long lunch with wine outside at any of the lovely cafes in the area--maybe just some saucisson and some cheese at Le Comptoir. A lap at Chanel on rue Cambon. A cocktail at Hotel Crillon. Then on to a dinner of steak frites at Bistrot Paul Bert (with a Grand Marnier Souffle for dessert). Last stop at Danton for a final glass of Champagne before calling it a day!

denisea, sounds lovely!
I walked past Le Bonaparte before it opened and ran out of time to return for a meal. This is the first visit to Paris without a meal there. Only one solution = return!
