I am looking for a nice hotel near the airport in Madrid, preferably witha shuttle service to and from the airport. Can anyone help please?

I did a similar research for our last trip to Spain last year. The following hotel was highly recommended, although we ended up not staying there (Festivities of san Isidro; there was a free fabulous concert scheduled at Plaza Mayor and we decided to spend our last night IN Madrid). They have free shuttle service to the airport.

Now, please pay attention to the following: this hotel is included in the Entertainment Book (are you familiar with this discount coupons book?). The hotel could be 50% off if you call and use this coupon. They have limited rooms for this special offer, so you need to call ahead of time. Otherwise, the rate is not bad for one night and peace of mind. BTW, if driving from Madrid to the airport estimate twice the time. We almost had to learn the hard way...

The Novotel chain has a hotel near the airport. Be careful they also have one in town, so if you book Novotel make sure it is the one at the airport. Novotels are nice hotels, with excellent breakfast buffets in Spain. Check their web site

Hi Maira I just got back from Spain last week . I stayed 5 minutes from the Madrid Airport at the Best Western Avion. A room with no breakfast was 13,000 pesatas . It's very clean and they provide a airport pickup and delivery. Hope that helps.
