You said you were not interested in hiking, especially big hills. Do be aware that the Cinque Terre is ALL big hills -- practically straight up and down. Vernazza, for example is only level at the little bay at the bottom. You could, however, stay in Monterosso (if I remember correctly) and take the boat to the other towns to avoid climbing the hills. The train stations are high up on the hill except for one -- whose name I forget, which was down low, only the town was up a huge flight of stairs.
