This article, including beautiful photos, is by one of my favorite London bloggers.

That was delightful.

It reminded me of my first time in Venice, many years ago. I was alone, it was Christmas Eve, it was snowing, and I had the place to myself. Maybe my most magical travel moment ever.

I can see myself walking in some of the places he writes of, but never without another soul anywhere around. Don't know if I would like it like that, actually, but with a few less crowds would be fine.

Thanks for posting it's a wonderful blog and I looked at it more regularly when we were in London this past spring. I'm a big fan of Leadenhall Market which was fun to see. Incidentally it's a great place for a bacon sandwich in the mornings. We loved walking around the city at night and it's almost deserted over the holidays.

Hi CYNTHIA_BOOKER,

Wow, that was a great blog. Thanks for sharing - I will subscribe. Wonderful writer.

I am familiar with just about all of those haunts he describes, albeit mostly in the lovely month of June.

I just love London...

I am glad so many of you liked this piece. It describes a peaceful and quiet side of London that we don't see often.
