7, pick any town or city in the Netherlands. They will all have at least one place offering a rijsttafel.
2, you can buy more than three different things at a Febo, but how about a grillburger, kalfsvleeskroket and kaassouffle.

6 A zoo, over-crowded, complimentary vegetables never re-plenished, lots of kids on the loose (so much for the famed well-behaved French child). I've been three times (first, last and only). Great for kids, I guess. Will not make gracejoan's list.

Percy - who won? Still looking for #1 and #9
10. Boudin noir is made with blood, boudin blanc with eggs/milk/meat.>
and as slang, my son tells me, a gross boudin is a heavy unattractive girl? A big sausage! (Boudin = sausage)

Oops was posting just as MaineGG gave the last two answers - I've been it a zillion Italian stores for pizza, fruits, vegs, sold in ettos still and never really realized how much it was or forgot.

Pvoyageuse - what would a fat ugly boy or man be called? Or are not women that "guele" - guessing at the spelling of that word like in "te guele" my son's mom used to scream at him and pat his hand when he said something dirty or off-color, etc.
Curious? Anyways thanks for the tuna fish and cageot - add to my vocab for next trip to France! (Or when looking in the mirror!)

PalenQ : "ta gueule" is the rude way to say "shut up". Nothing to do with being fat or ugly.
He is ugly : il est moche, c'est un mocheton.
Fat man : Bibendum (after the Michelin man), rondouillard, patapouf, gros plein de soupe, tonneau, gros lard, barrique ......

You decide which ones were the hard ones for you.
