A good meeting place upon arriving in Madrid airport?

Dear Spain experts, I need your input, please
This will be our 1st trip visiting Spain.
Our KLM flight will arrive at Terminal 2 while my mom's Lufthanse will arrive at Terminal 1 (Madrid). Luckily, our planes will land (supposedly) about the same time, around noon time.
Where is a good/safe meeting place for us upon arriving?
My mom is nervous about being alone in a foreign country so we should be getting to her (or at least closer).
TIA!

Anyone has a suggestion for a good meeting place in Terminal 1 at the Madrid airport?

TIA!

Hi p3t0t,
I am having the same issue and wondering if you found any good meeting places? I would like to make it a cafe or something so whoever has to wait is comfortable. My brother is coming in from the US (he is not a savvy traveler) and my friend and I are already here, coming into Madrid from Bilbao--T1 and T2 respectively. Will need to meet somewhere outside security, and I can't find that specific info on any of the airport directories.
Many thanks,
Amy

There is a café at level 0 in T1 that is called ARS. That should suit you all..

Don't worry. there aren't numerous places down at arrivals T1. It is pretty dead down there.. a few rental car places, a bank , tobacco shop, transfer kiosk, exchange window and this café.

You can confirm this at www.aena.es. Go to Shops. then restaurants/bars arrivalsTerminal 1. It is the only one at level 0 (ground level) in the public area.
