A few photos of Christmas in Paris 2011

My attempted photo report about some of the sights to see for those who are spending Christmas in Paris (or who are not spending Christmas in Paris) has not advanced as rapidly as I would have hoped, and I still have a bunch of photos to add. But here it is anyway: http://tinyurl.com/bv63m5q

We saw the "hoola hoop" decorations last night. And, the line for the skating rink was quite long! A good 30-45 minute wait I would guess.

Thanks again for posting pics!

Thank you for sharing the Christmas experience with me too. The Christmas celebrations are awesome in the rest of the places too. With family I enjoyed in Paris and moved to Disneyland with kids by ferries. Kids enjoyed a lot in the Christmas eve. Elders in the family also enjoyed like kids in the Disneyland.

Great photos, thanks! Blue is not my favorite color for Christmas and I don't like the hoop shapes so it's a "no vote" from this Christmas traditionalist.

I love the atmosphere of the Christmas markets but apart from the food and vin chaud, the goods, with some exceptions, scream "made in China."

Well, I do not actually live on top of the McDonald's. I live on top of a bank. But when I go downstairs, the McDo is just two buildings over.

I think it's an extremely CRUEL thing to post pictures of Paris, so that us poor unfortunate souls have to suffer through this display, wishing it were us taking those pictures!

Kerouac, thanks so much for sharing your Christmas photos of Paris. We expect to arrive on Tuesday, December 27, and look forward to enjoying, among other wonderful things, the festive decorations. Joyeux Noel!

Thanks, Taconictraveler. The Paris is full of beautiful scenaries all around the year. Though it is beautiful Christmas celebrations attract the visitors to plan a weekend trip to Paris to enjoy the shows, events and many musical parties too.

Thanks for another wonderful photo essay, Kerouac. I loved the Notre Dame part, both the creche scenes and the singing during mass video.
