Thank you!

We arrive into CDG and our hotel is by Notre Dame.
|
We will have checked bags but we both can carry them up/down stairs. Our hotel is by Notre Dame - take the RER or fixed rate taxi? Is there a spot on the RER for the luggage? We live in a city in the US so we are fine with public transportation.

Victors Cab is a great source, but if going to the Left Bank, check out route map of the RER B which we always take there -- we've staying in the eastern end of the 5th, almost in the 6th arr. We take it to the Luxembourg Gardens stop but the one just before might serve you better depending on your hotel site.

We are by Notre Dame. RER?
RER B to St. Michel should get you very close to your hotel. |
We always consider the alternatives for CDG to hotel. We always end up with the fixed price cab. For two people with luggage and jet lag, the additional cost over the cheap transport is insignificant while being stress free and there are no stairs. And it's door-to-door!

Here’s my take on it….
We’ve done RER, taxis, and private car. If money is not an issue, book a private car from CDG to Left Bank…..Just the best way to go. Victor Cabs is always good. Taxi from hotel to Gare works fine. Again, if money is not an issue This is a fantastic way to see Paris at night. It s definitely worth every penny. https://en.citywheels-paristours.com/ We agree with some above posts on a Seine cruise with Vedettes. After 15 trips to Paris we have seen a lot and these are my recommendations |

Just last evening we were talking about where to go for our Thanksgiving trip and Paris was one of the options. The city on wheels tour sounds perfect, will definitely look into it, thanks!

We did a 2 hour tour with City Wheels. It was the highlight of our December 2023 trip.

TPAYT, I remember your TR and those pictures, sounds like such fun. So you can only have a maximum if three guest I presume? Or do they have bigger vehicles? Need to research this.
|
Happy Fourth, TPAYT, same question as last Fodorite! We will be going with our daughter, husband, and their two teen girls Christmas week (= 6 of us) -- two vehicles or do they have vans? Depending on weather, seems wise to have some "insurance" on the weather. We'll also do the Vedettes de Pont Neuf, which DH and I did a couple trips ago. Thx - Enjoyed your pictures. Oh, last question, what were the temperatures? Merci beaucoup!

If you have a problem with public transport then goodness knows how you will cross the pond.
I suggest this https://www.fattiretours.com/paris/t...ght-bike-tour/ as a low energy option for the evening |
We were last in Paris December 10-18, 2023.
We had weather in the 50’s, some sunny days, a few rain sprinkles 1 or 2 nights. The week before us and after us it rained a lot but still in the 50’s. Here’s my trip report with the fun things we did if you are interested. GLAMAPARIS has some very nicely located apartments for rent. On this trip we wanted to be close to tge river and Blvd. St. Germain for easy walking and a taxi stand very close by. https://www.fodors.com/community/eur...nture-1719170/ |
