annhig,

I am on a mission to see all 195 plus 1 one officially recognized countries a "Bucket List" of sort. So, yes I do get around but in a good way :)

All these trips have been done since last summer but I am running behind posting about them.

Next Asia with a trip to Tibet!

how many to go?

DMBTraveler Jan 13th, 2013 07:18 PM

annhig,

134 :(

annhig Jan 14th, 2013 02:11 AM

ooh, that's a lot, DMB.

funny question on the radio yesterday which you mention of there being 195 countries reminded me of.

the question was - how many countries, in their modern day guises, has Great Britain NOT invaded?

[clue - it's less than your 134, DMB]

Very nice!

annhig,

You have got me... I can think of a few GB invaded but hard to think of the ones "Not Invaded".

Would Cuba be one of them?

annhig Jan 21st, 2013 02:16 AM

Would Cuba be one of them?>>

possibly - the answer [which did not include that names of these favoured nations] was 22 out of 196. We assumed that most of those were in South America.

Great report, I used to go to Northern Finland about now each year for the cross country skiing and I only spotted the northern lights while staggering back from a bar. After lying in a snow drift (to get a better view you understand) for 10 minutes I had had enough.

Still I enjoyed being towed around by huskys the next day.
