Degas! Is that a picture of you and your long lost Camille?
|
degas, only you would dangle a website like that to snare unsuspecting innocents. Loved the song.
|
Surly you jest! That poor woman could not hold a candle to my precious Camille. And do you think I'd even be caught dead with a $2 haircut like that?
|
Oooooo Degas ,;;)
Nights in White Satin...be still my heart. ((L)) |
Ahem! She, um, smashed your "cot"?? ;)
Good one, dear Degas! |
Hi starspinner & beatchick
Thanks for the kind words - glad you enjoyed this sad little tale. I'm checking out some good leads now on the exact whereabouts of Camille. I'll update the story later in 2004 if they pan out. |
Degas, any chance you might be able to make it to a So. Cal Foders dinner?
|
topping for anyone who has not yet been introduced to Camille.

Camille, the tragic, beautiful heroine of A. Dumas greatest story: la Dame Aux Camelias"..
Is now the name of the woman that stole " Degas The Great " heart.. A true saga of passion, desire, endless sleepless nights of ecstacy.. A toast to the unforgetful Lovers.. |
Kismetchimera, you got it right. I was impressed by the book and "liberated" a few things for my own.
|
Ahhh, cough cough, I feel so close to Camille, cough cough..poor thing.
I am happy that this post was brought back to the top, perfect reading for a gloomy afternoon :) |
Topping for MaureenB, who asked how it all began.

Hi kismetchimera
I was just thinking the same thing last week. We had a great bunch of folks and really had a load of fun. Yes, the gigolo thread was also a hoot. My, how quickly time flys. LW and I travel mostly to Asia now, but we might go to Europe this fall. Hope all is well with you. |
All is well with me Degas.
My son is teaching English in korea at a small village near Danyang. He is the only Westerner living there. He met many locals people and has a lots of Korean's friends that him everywhere.. He has a very busy Social life and does not plan to come back home other than at Christmas and plan to continue his teaching job there. Of course it was easy for him to adjust to a different culture because we are a military family and we lived in the Orient( Taipei) and in Honolulu. He went to Saigon for a week and had a great time. He told me that life in Vietnam is very cheap and people are very friendly and the younger generations talk about the "American War". Yes, we had a great bunch at Fodors and still remember the good time that we had. Take care, Ciao,AnnaMaria |
