A Christmas Weekend in Paris

Good morning

Bikerscott and I spend the first weekend in Dec in Paris every year for our anniversary. Despite the tragic events there a few weeks ago we decided to keep up the tradition. Although much quieter than usual we had a lovely time.

The first 23 photos in this album are from this trip, the rest are from previous trips.

Happy to answer any questions about Paris.

Hello,
Just wondering if you felt safe in Paris on the trains, etc. We are taking our family in December for a few days. We have never been. We are concerned about safety but also we are concerned that city won't seem the same. We could choose to go elsewhere and go to Paris in the summer. Any thoughts or observations that would help us?
Thanks for your help.

We felt safe and the metro was busy as normal. We did notice less tourists but that meant less lines. Overall it was quieter than normal but we enjoyed it.

Jami,

Gorgeous photos, as always, and hope you don't mind my saying BikerScott is looking HOT in that beard (guy sitting at the bar not bad, either). I'm 66 but still like to look!

So glad you went to Paris, I wish I were there for the holidays. While I understand individual concerns, creating fear and upheaval is exactly what ISIS wants to accomplish.

#24 was designed by Manolo Nuñez-Yanowsky in 1991, based on Michelangelo's "Dying Slave". On the corner of avenue de Daumesnil and rue de Rambouillet.

Thanks Seamus!
