What is the first thing you want to eat when you land in Paris?

You know, you have been craving it big time since the last time you were there? You have been thinking about it on the flight the whole way over. Gotta have it. Can't wait to wrap you mouth around it?

What is it and where do you go to get it???

If you don't mind me asking...

Cafe creme! I adore European coffee. Why can't we make it that well over here?!

A crepe - jambon et fromage followed by a nutella. I don't care where I get one, whatever crepe stand I find first is OK with me.............

Agree for the foie gras, specially the "Foie gras au sel", (not cooked, just staying for N hours in salt) and for the rest... magret and a dessert called Mont-Blanc, but I learned how to do both. What I' really starving for when I land in Paris, is a good viet resto... we only have chinese everywhere (Portugal).

My husband MUST HAVE a jambon et fromage baguette sandwich at least once EVERY DAY. I myself look forward to a beautiful gooey pastry as soon as the opportunity presents itself.

It's a tie between a nutella crepe and pain au chocolat. You can get both in the US, but they just don't measure up to the ones you get in France.

Probably a salad with warm goat cheese. Even though I can get that easily in Brussels, it's not the same as the Parisian style.
If it's autumn and I've walked enough to justify the calories, then some nice pork rillettes spread on a fresh baguette. Washed down with a light red like Brouilly.

When I landed at CDG, I had to have a pain au chocolat...and I wandered until I found Paul (founded in 1889) and had a pain au chocolat and an espresso...later, in Lyon, I discovered that they had a pain au chocolat avec amandes (almond paste) wow, double wow....Food wise, meals are a one of the highlites of my french trips, and I especially like trying the terrines at whatver restaurants I go to...with a piece of crusty bread...yumm. I also find I like trying whatever chicken meals they have, ditto on the desserts
