Best time of year to visit Amalfi Coast?
Greetings, Please weigh in with your opinion on the "best" time of year to visit the Amalfi coast. We aren't going to lay on the beach or swim but rather to relax and see the sights.
We are hoping to avoid the biggest crowds and scorching hot days.
Thanks in advance and cheers from the turnip!

We went in May and loved it. Warm but not hot, not very crowded (we got great rates because the hotels weren't full) and were even able to enjoy doing the Amalfi drive since there were so few buses.

We spent a week in Sorento (rented an apartment) and a week in Amalfi (rented an apartmnet) last April. Weather was mild and crowds were minimal. From Sorento we took the local train to Pompei and Herculeum and from Amalfi we took the bus to Ravello and Paestum. You get to see so much more if you're not having to consentrate on driving (and you do need to concentrate. Hope this helps. Ciao
