We loved staying in the 9 th near rue des martyrs. Lots of restaurants, small shops. Easy walking to Montmartre. East to catch metro and bus. Walked all hours of day and night without incident. We have stayed in the 3rd, 4th, 7 th, and 17th. Liked the 9th the best!
