9 WORKING DAYS IN MILAN, 3 FREE DAYS TO GO AROUNG ITALY

on print Print-friendly version
Hi Friends,

My sister and I have to work in a Fair in Italy from December the 1st to the 9th, we are from Mexico so not too much familiar with Europe. the dream from our mother was always wanted to visit Venice (she pass away few years ago from cancer) so planned going there to honor her in Italy.

It would be of great help to us if you guys can provide any type of advice/dos/donts/tips that would make our 3 days memorable and try to make Venice & Florence

Please provide advice on the following:
1. Hostel or budget hotel in Venice & Florence

2. How we can get there fast and unexpensive transportation.

Thank You in advance to take the time to help us!!!

For 3 days, I don't think you have enough time for Venice and Florence. Pick one, and I suggest Venice.

You can travel by train between those cities.

After work on your 9th day, take the train to Florence (2 hours). There are a lot of budget rooms near the train station (and a hostel or two). The station is just a few minutes walk from the historic center. You can see Florence the next day and take a late train to Venice (about 2 hours).

If you are flying home from Milan, you will need to spend your last night in Milan.

How much are you willing to spend on hotels? We stay at this hotel in Venice and the rates are about 100 euros a night
