9 nights left, where to go?

I have a trip planned for May 2017 which consists of:

7 nights Montepulciano
7 nights Lucca

These two weeks are set.

I have 9 nights after Lucca which I have narrowed down to 3 possibilities and would like your opinion on which to visit. I have visited none of the areas in previous trips. The dates are May 20-29, 2017.

1 - Piedmont (split between Alba and Torino)
2 - Emilia-Romagna (split between Parma and Bologna)
3 - Lake Garda (split between Bardolino and Verona)

I have equal interest in all 3 areas and will visit the 2 "losers" on my next trip.

So question, after 2 weeks in Tuscany, where you would spend the next week?

Thank you.

Can you tell us more about how you'd spend the time - nine days is a long time. What would you do? Stay put? Drive around whichever region you choose, returning "home" each night (1-2-3)? Hike (1)? Swim/boat/water ski (3)? Do museums and eat up a storm (2)?

We like to relax, food and wine, culture, visiting towns, taking walks. Like to be near water, not so much for water sports, but for the fresh air. We try to do experiences more than museums/art.

Which is why I am having such a hard time choosing. All the areas will tick a bunch of our boxes and the rest we will save for our next trip.
