8 days Portugal in October

Hi,
My wife and I going for honeymoon for 3 weeks. 5 days Madiera, 8 days Portugal and 9 days Tenerife.
Althought we sorta know our itinary for Madiera and Tenerife we still undecided about Portugal.
My wife prefer coastlines and beaches landscapes and for that feels more about the south (Algarve area).
For myself I feel more for the Douro Vally.
We renting a car from Lisbon and we know that 8 days is not enough to make the north and the south.
We are going to stay in Portugal between the 2 until the 10 of october and would apreciate your advices and recommendations.

Thank you very much.

Hey,
If you get the chance/have the time, I really recommend the North of Portugal. You can stay in Porto and go from there. If you like nature, you should visit the Peneda Gerês National Park it's truly incredible. You also have Serra da Estrela, which is closer to Lisbon, or the Arrábida Mountains (incredible secluded beaches with crystal clear water where you can see the fish swimming).
Hope this was helpful.

Safe travels and best regards!
