Personally, I think it's too much for only 8 days. I'd be wiped out. But, everyone's travel style is different.

We spent 10 days in just Florence and Venice last summer, and had so much to see and do we never had time to fit a single day trip in.

If this is your plan, however, I would see "David" at the Accademia in Florence, as well as the Duomo, and possibly the Uffizi and Piazzelle Michelangelo. It really depends on your interests.

I'm sure you'll get many other good ideas here, as well.

Why would you fly to Rome, just to turn around and have to go back to Venice? You know you can fly there from Paris directly? I know that I wouldn't want to spend 4 hours in the middle of the night at the train station. It will be you and all the homeless people of the city.

Rethink this.

Plus why would you leave for the airport on your return 4 hours in advance. It's really too much. Max 2. We're talking a domestic flight here.

Don't worry about Florence. You'll find all the major sites. Hard to miss. Bring a guide book or ask your hotel for help. They're experienced. You won't be the first.

I think I'd rather dawdle at the airport at those hours than at the train station. My suggestion would be hang at the airport then take a taxi to Termini about 4 or 5 am.

So much to do in Florence, you'll easily fill up those days. Be sure to go to the Michaelangelo Piazza on the hill for a great view. If you must go outside, take the #7 bus to Fiesole to visit the Etruscan ruins and have a drink on the edge of the town while you watch the sunset on Florence.

I think leaving at 3 for a 7pm flight is a bit early. With 4, take a taxi and you probably only need to leave at 4 pm.

Hi mimonza,

www.volareweb.com flies Pris Orly to Venice and Rome FCO to Paris Orly for about the same price as ryanair.

I suggest you look into this.

I also think that you are squeezing in too much.

I would do 3 days in Venice and 4 days in Florence (flying in/out of Venice)
or
You might want to consider the whole time in Rome, with day trips to Ostia Antica and Orvieto.

Enjoy your trip.
