8 days in Germany

Hi! We are going to spend 8 days in Germany by the end of Oct. Our flight will arrive & leave at Hannover; we would like to visit Berlin for 2 or 3 days and then some towns along the fairy tale road. Planned to visit Hameln & Bremen already, and would like to know is there other town worth to go? And any place to visit on Sunday? as we heard the shops are closed on Sunday. Thanks!

Some other charming towns you should consider visiting that aren't far from Hanover and Hameln:

Celle, Rinteln, Hildesheim, Goslar

Lubeck would make a nice day trip as well as Hamburg. ((b))

niki- an informative and truly delightful web site can be found at
"www.bayswaterps.vic.edu.au". It is part of a project by german students at an Australian Public School. Full of useful information on the "Fairy Tale Road" and has appropriate links. Check it out and have a wonderful trip!

Berlin is great and Hamelin is a wonderful town. When we were there in '97, they did the reenactment of the Pied Piper on Sunday about 5:30 (17:30).

I am with Budman on this- when in the area throw in a visit to Luebeck and/ or Hamburg, although I would recommend at least two days for the latter.
