7th arrondisement
Will be in Paris the second week in March and need some suggestions of good places to eat in the 7th arrondisement. Looking for a meal that is like someones grand-mere would make and cost from 20 to 30 Euro's. Also what Paris attractions/experiences are not to be missed being only there three days??

Lunch will be the least expensive meal, so you may want to consider someplace like Le P'tit Troquet, Bistrot, 28, rue de L'Exposition. or Restaurant Le Maupertu, 94 Boulevard de La Tour-Maubourg. L'Affriolé, Sar Verola Restauration 17, rue Malar is also in the 7th, and quite good. Another excellent choice in the 7th would be Au Bon Accueil, 14 rue de Monttesxuy.
There are a number of "not to be missed" attractions and experiences, but I think a stroll along the Seine will take care of many of them. |
Hi the,
>... Also what Paris attractions/experiences are not to be missed being only there three days?...< Try clicking on "Destinations" and looking at the miniguide to Paris. ((I)) |
You will have no problem finding good restaurants in your price range. Are you familiar with the Michelin Red Guide? they have a category called Bib Gourmand which represents the restaurants with the best rapport quality to price, and the 7th has more of them than the the previous 4(3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th arrondissements) combined.

I have stayed in the 7th more than once. Just on one street, Rue de Bourgogne, some 3-4 blocks long from Rue de Varenne to the Palais Bourbon, there are several restaurants, ranging from bistro to elegant, from French to Chinese to Italian. I think you will have no problem finding an acceptable eatery which fits your parameters. As I say, that's just on one street. Get closer to the Blvd St. Germain and there's even more. The only caution I would submit to you is that you should check carefully on the hours of business. Otherwise, a stroll through a neighborhood, a tip from a friendly hotel concierge, or a reference you see on this website should be all you need. |
A very reasonable and quite good restaurant in the 7th is Bistro du 7eme on Blvd. Latour-Maubourg just down the street from the Latour-Maubourg Metro.

Thank you all for your suggestions. I can not wait to try some of them.

For a quickie lunch or dinner, there's the Tourville at 10, Avenue de Tourville. Excellent pizza.
