7 nights honeymoon in Greece in May 2014

Hi All

Its been quite sometime since my last post and this time I have a changed plan.

I am planning to travel to Greece for my honeymoon in 2nd week of May 2014 and need your advise on the same. I am planning to spend most of the time exploring the city, beaches, night life & restaurants and most importantly hotels with nice view.

Itinerary
2 nights in Athens
3rd day fly to Mykonos from Athens
2 nights in Mykonos and then cruise to Santorini
3 nights in Santorini with a flight back to Athens and return to India

Need your advise whether this is feasible and suggestions on the hotels & places to visit in all these places.

Also my budget for the same is around 2500 Euros.

Looking forward to hear from you.

Cheers!!

Your itinerary looks fine to me. The only suggestion I would make is to fly directly to Mykonos upon arrival in Athens if you can, and save the two nights in Athens for the end of the trip. You will be at the airport anyway, and the flight to Mykonos takes only another 30 minutes. That also gives you a two day cushion in Athens in case strikes or other problems delay your return from the islands.

Three hotels- very different price ranges- in Athens with a great view, starting with the cheapest:

ATHENS GATE

AVA HOTEL AND SUITES

GRANDE BRETAGNE

@ Heimdall Thanks for the suggestion. Now when i think of it that does make sense. Also would like to know what all places would you suggest in all the 3 places esp beaches or romantic drives, etc.

@ WWK- shall keep these in mind for sure. Thanks a lot

While on Mykonos, suggest you stay in town and take the bus to beaches during the day. If you are interested in history, a half-day trip to the archaeological site on Delos (closed Mondays) would be worthwhile. On Santorini, Oia is the most beautiful (and expensive) village. With only two days in Athens you don't have time to go anywhere else on the mainland, but there is lots to see and do in the city.

There are many resources on the internet and in guidebooks to give you ideas on what to do and see, so that is where you should start your research.

Shikhir, you absolutely must stay in Oia on Santorini, find a hotel overlooking the caldera, the sunset views are to die for! Yes, its the most expensive village on the island, but maybe you can go lower st one of the other places.

Thanks Heimdall & Geetika.
@Geetika- Do you have any hotel recommendations for Oia? If so please share the same. My budget for 3 night stay is around 450 Euros.
