IMO, the problem is a plan that calls for driving after a flight that crosses multiple time zones.

I don't care if people make plans without our full input -- it's their trip! I don't care if the plan means there isn't time to see anything -- we can provide input, but it's up to the OP to either accept or reject it, and to adjust if necessary. For all I know, the OP simply wants to check things off a list, and if that's the case, its not my position to judge.

But putting other people's lives at risk when doing so can be avoided? Sorry, that is something that troubles me.
