You could also probably rent a 7-day apartment and just leave in 5. It could still end up cheaper than 7-days at a hotel. You could do this if you can't find a 5-day apartment.

The apartment that I rent is a 7-day one, but in September, the highest priced time, is $1,950 a week (payable in dollars or Euros). That's cheaper than 5 days at the Madison for example. And the deposit is reasonable and there's no cleaning fee. Plus, it's a 7-minute walk from the Madison, the keys are sent out before one leaves home, and there's no check-in and check-out time. Happy Travels!

Thanks Everyone so much....i decided to rent the apartment #122 from vacationinparis. I know a couple of you have stayed there and I have read your trip reports. I am excited to stay in a new location. I am a little concerned about no AC, but hopefully it won't be too warm in early Sept. I will pot when I return!

Thanks Again...now I need to plan my Rome portion of the trip

I stayed in #122 in September of 2009. Weather can't be predicted but we were never hot. I remember a large floor fan in the bedroom but don't think we used it.

Liked the apartment and the location. Towel supply was skimpy and it took me a few tries to figure out how to shower without flooding the bathroom but otherwise it was great! Very well-equipped kitchen.

Have fun.

I've also stayed in #122. I have a thread on it under, "Guenmai's Paris Apartment Rental Experience". My screen name can be clicked on for it to pop up. Happy Travels!
