6 days itinerary in italy

Greetings!

I'm planning to go to italy for 6 days in early April. I'd appreciate if you guys can help us plan itinerary

Please note 6 days include arrival day but excludes departure day which would be day 7.

also need advice on whether if austria or prague (Czech Republic) similar to italy. If I have to pick one which place should I opt for?

thanks and best regards

Italy is a big and fascinating country. Don't be looking for somewhere else to visit with only 6 days. You have barely enough time to see a small portion of Italy.

Where in Italy do you want to visit? With 6 days, I would spend 4 in Rome and 2 in either Florence or Venice. That will be rushed so avoid backtracking and wasting time traveling from place to place by flying open jaw, into your first city and home from your last. Do lots of research on Italy before deciding.

Neither Austria nor Prague is similar to Italy.

If you provide a little info - interests, total time for trip, budget range etc - people can be more help.

It would be mix of history sight seeing famous spots

we would also want to experience skii as we have never done that

2 weeks for total trip and budget around 5-6k $

Hmmm, I'm not super familiar with Italian skiing but April sounds like it might be late for the season. Hopefully more experienced travelers can assist. April is kind of "in between" season - late for skiing, early for the beach. That said, it's far less crowded than high season and the weather is usually fine.

how about skiing in austria?

I love skiing, but would save it for another trip. Skiing really needs to be a trip in its own, as one day skiing is not enough for a beginner.
