6 days in Peloponnese

Hi There

We are looking at 6 days in the Peloponnese seeing Delphi, Nafploi and Olympica, Mystras, Hydra...would really appreciate any advice or itinerary suggestions as we are only starting to plan. Not set on any particular sites... All suggestions are most welcome and appreciated.

I must admit that trying to see all of those places in just 6 days seems extremely ambitious to me. They're all wonderful, though, so I'm sure you can come up with a plan that includes most of them and that will prove quite enjoyable. FWIW, here's a trip report that covers many of them, starting with post # 137:

All depends on your interests.
A itinerary for lovers of antique sites will be different from another one for people interested in the middle ages.
If you prefer landscapes, caves and beaches, things will be diferent again.

very nice. Will you have a car? Are you starting from Athens? I have done similar road trips 2 times, but never included any islands (although Hydra can be a one-day trip for sure). I think it is doable, as long as you are ok leaving smth behind. I started from Athens and did first the western coast, then went up to the middle and arrived to Nauflion.

For what it’s worth, on our equally short trip around the Peloponnese we followed advice to give Olympia a miss, and instead stopped at the Nemea stadium en route south from Athens. We and the cats had the well-preserved site and excellent little museum practically to ourselves.
