6 days in Paris in September

I'm planning a 6 day trip to Paris with my wife. She's never been there and I haven't been there in 30 years. Any suggestions for hotels, itinerary would be greatly appreciated.

Are you going next month? What's your budget? It's going to be tough getting a hotel so late; September is a busy month in Paris.

As to itinerary - what are your interests. It's silly to recommend museums if you don't like museums. You need to give a bit more information to get considered responses.

uh, just checking that you meant $10,000 not $1000. For 6 day you should be able to find hotel for next month.

Both very nice hotels in good locations. I personally might want something some place a little more neighborhoody, but those really are fine.

In the 6th, there are long lists on nice boutique hotels on this forum. However, my upscale cousin clearly preferred the right bank to the left, and you sound like you might like upscale digs and surroundings.

I'm confusing this more than I mean to. For me, with your budget, I would go for a top hotel in the 6th.

My cousin, on the other hand, would stay at or near the hotels you mention.

My wife and I both love interesting neighborhoods like Grenwich Village or Williamsburg in NYC but want to be able to do the tourist thing as well

Then try Belleville, the area around Buttes Chaumont and the area around Republique/Canal St Martin.

There's been a paradigm shift: no longer left bank or right bank, but interesting east and moneyed, but boring west.

Golden Tulip Little Palace maybe? Near Republique.
