6 days in Paris
Cheers Fodorites, from sunny South Australia.
I have a very dear friend who is spending 6 days in Paris, end of January next yr,
She's traveling with 5 other people, but would like to break away and do a tour around Paris, visiting the areas where the fashion houses are, Avenue Foch, beautiful department stores such as La Fayette etc. and any other upmarket places we all read about and would love to visit. and maybe get in a little shopping on the way.
Does anyone know of any day tours that would incorporate these places and others.
She will be doing this alone, so this is the reason she would like a tour if possible.
Your help would be appreciated.

Can't help you with tours as travel independently.
Galeries Lafayette & Printemps are next to each other on
Haussmann Blvd. If she is there on a Friday, she can go to
the information desk @ Galleries Lafayette & sign up for the
free 1/2 3 p.m. fashion show.

Gretchen, we went shopping with Scott (Michael's partner) last trip and my daughter found two pairs of vintage shoes.....we would never have found them on our own! Used shoes seemed yucky to me but she was quite happy.

In our recent trip to Paris, my wife did some shopping. The main shopping areas are close to Metro stations so you could do it on your own without a guided tour. My trip report below may give you some ideas.

Michael (or Scott) wil tailor a day for you to include fashion houses etc.... their fee last I heard was 100EU for the full day no matter the group size. You can reach the at [email protected] They have done several tours for us and are great to be with..... Michael will keep you focused on the prize!
