6 Days in France after group trip
 

So ill be in Brittany for like 9 days with my brothers. WEll they are leaving early so Ive got 6 days to F around. Ive been to Provence, Burgundy, Loire Valley, Lyon, and well BRittany after this. Where would you go solo? Im leaving my car in Paris, not sure I went to rent a car solo (Might rent a motorbibke for a day or two). I want FOOD, WINE, and CULTURE. PLus im a photographer, so epic photo ops.

Six days isn't much for Brittany, so you could stay there. Or Normandy -- you could easily spend your time there.
You might look at the Rough Guide or the Michelin Green Guides -- lots of great information about those areas.

Any place will have food, wine and culture. I do not understand your comment about "leaving my car in Paris"? Why do you have a car, or do you just mean you will have had a rental but will turn it in?

I don't know of any epic photo ops close to Paris, I think of southern France as better for that. I guess depends what kind of photos you want.

I suppose you could do Alsace, it has some cute villages if that's your idea of epic, and you haven't been there. You could go down to the Auvergne region and get some good photo ops, it's just farther and not really the best trip without a car IMO.

Normandy is obviously left out of your list, so that's an option, also, as a place to go.

Not every place will have wine, unless you are limiting yourself to restaurants or wine shops, which you can experience almost anywhere in the world. In fact, France north of the Loire Valley is pretty much bereft of cooperative tasting rooms, vineyards, and a wine growing culture. So Normandy , Flanders, Brittany, Picardy, Ile-de-France, and the Ardennes, would not suit the OP's parameters. In the Ardennes, beer is the drink of choice, in Normandy it's cider. Other areas, like the Marais Poitevin, do not have wine or all that much artistic culture despite the profound natural beauty.

As far as culture is concerned, I am assuming the OP is not talking about yogurt or historic sites.... so how about a sizable town with the arts, music, or a distinct cuisine. I am not sure the Centre region (although Menetou-Salon is a good wine), really covers that. So I might not send him to Bourges, which is otherwise stunning.

With six days in hand, the OP can justify going to the southwest, from Sarlat to Cahors. Though having some kind of personal transport is a good idea. Definitely stunning photo ops aplenty.

My favorite wine experiences in France was discovering the vin doux naturel in Le Pays Catalan. There is a cooperative tasting room in Maury. The locals refrigerate the red, but keep the white at room temperature. Stunning area for great photo ops in the Pyrénées Orientales, but you do need to move around village France to fully experience the beauty.

I would take the TGV Paris to Bordeaux. Lovely city to see and lots to do there, perhaps take a day and see St. Emilion, very photogenic.
