5th of July French air traffic control strike- how long?

Air France web site says a strike is scheduled July 5 for air traffic control. Anyone know how long the strike is supposed to last?

It's a national strike, so several unions. It was scheduled just for that day.

Thanks, Christina! So flights on July 6 shouldn't have any issues?

If any strikes are announced, it's important to check with your airline or train company's official website, first.

When strikes are called, there will be a reduced schedule. Some flights may be delayed or cancelled.
It is up to the traveller to be pro-active - don't wait for someone to notify you.

Be prepared to wait, and notify any connecting flights and rental cars, as well as your hotel or the person you're staying with, so you won't have to forfait your reservation or pay extra. If you've made restaurant reservations that will be affected, it would be considerate to change them, as well.

The 7th is not concerned.

I don't get why people don't understand that a day of industrial action lasts just one day.

When a strike is open-ended, that is announced, too.
