Why need to call? I already listed out clearly why it's $332. Some airlines (mostly European) have a lower &quot;fare&quot; but then add a fuel surchage. Others don't. <b>No difference</b>.

The total price $950 is competitive with other airlines.

At least aa.com will list final total price when you search for tickets initially. Unlike many others, which only display it after you've chosen your flights.

So, to answer the OP's original question. It's actually about $800 for fare, $160 for tax. Tax is 20% of the actual fare, or 17% of your total cost.
