Jane and Susan, I thought making the train connections was going to be difficut. I have to pack light, too? What a nightmare! As anyone who has read this thread can tell, I am extremely indecisive. How will I ever decide what to bring? OK, I guess I have no choice. I CAN do this! But it won't be easy.

Like everything else about my trip, it is wonderful-- and complicated. After my husband and I do our tour, we are meeting our children in a little town in Naples. We've been invited to stay at the home of my future son-in-law. His brother is getting married and we're not only invited to the wedding(the reception is at a beautiful resort near Capri), but we are also planning to take a lot of day trips with his family. It should be an unbelievable, once in a lifetime experience. Naturally, I want to look as nice as possible. His family always dresses beautifully. I'll post more about the trip later. Things have been a little hectic.

Anyway, Thanks for the advice. I'll do my best to follow it. And thanks to everyone for making this experience so much fun. I'm having a great time and I haven't even begun my trip!

In Rome's main train station, it is possible for the trains not to be next to eachother. You may have to go down and around. Sometimes takes more than 5 minutes.

Frannie, it's never too soon to start your packing/wardrobe strategy...

Way before a trip I begin hanging clothes I am considering together in a separate location with my little suitcase on a stand nearby.

Truly I am not trying to alarm you but hauling around several heavy suitcases for an entire vacation would be WAY worse than missing a train connection~ guaranteed!
