5 Days on the Amalfi Coast!

5 Days on the Amalfi Coast!
Hello! Wandering Canadians sign in again with another question (thanks for the advice re: cost of living, we'll work it out).
We are now working on our itinerary for Southern Italy.
After leaving Rome, we want to see Pompei, Amalfi (Atrani), Capri and Paestum.
We have five nights/ six days to do it in.
Our main question is about transportation in the area - how long should it take to get between these spots? That will help us work out how long we can stay put in each place.
Right now, for instance, we are thinking of going from Rome to Pompei early in the morning, seeing Pompei and sleeping in Atrani - is this do-able?
Also, we want to get from Atrani to Paestum, stay there one night, and get back the next day - can do?
Thanks for your advice!
Also, we are assuming that Capri is beautiful - is it? Judging by the cost of accommodation there, we could not afford more than one night.
Any advice in general about this area?
