5 days in Prague

Hi my fellow Fodorites :)

I just wanted to ask your insight and opinions on how you would recommend spending 5 days in Prague in the Czech Republic? Any specific must sees, must eats, or must dos? Thanks in advance for your help! I really appreciate it! :)

One day @ castle & Mala Strana

One day at Old Town & possibly the Jewish Quarter.

One day for exploring "other" areas - like Vinohrady/Zizkov (architecture, Kafka's tombstone, Flora mall), Vysehrad (fortress, cemetery), Andel (Mozart's Bertramka, modern architecture,), Wenceslas Square area for history, shopping, restuarants,& museums (Communism, National, etc).

One day for other museums (Mucha & the art museum that overlooks the river - ugh, I forget the name..), any other cultural sights, churches, Kampa Island, shopping...

Maybe one day for a side trip to Cesky Krumlov, or Terezin, or Kutna Hora.

At night, I'd be attending concerts, ballets, etc.

amp 322 has given you good advice!

Been twice and love the place. It's good to just wander around and soak up the atmosphere.
Don't do the night time river cruise with buffet. The food was awful and the trip pretty boring.

amp322 has provided a great list. Karlstejn Castle is a nice short day trip by train. Bring back a bottle of their labelled white wine to enjoy in your room. We enjoyed the Prague Zoo, and one of my favorite experiences was the evening show of color-lit fountains "dancing" to music at the park (be sure to pick up any popcorn you drop from your paper cone, as there was not a single piece on the concrete bleacher floor!).
