5 Days in Iceland in June
 

My family of six will be visiting Reykjavik for five days the first half of June. We will be renting a car, and it will be our first time in Iceland.

Besides spending time in Reykjavik, allocating a full day for the Golden Circle tour, visiting the Blue Lagoon, could you share with me an idea for a day trip that we could take? Preferably something not too far - no more than 2 hrs from Reykjavik.

I agree with bigtyke. Most people plan Iceland trips farther in advance, so you would need to get on this asap. To give you an idea, I started booking in November for our mid August trip.

Thanks for the suggestion. The Skogafoss waterfall looks very impressive.

I agree with the above- and if you are super clever you may be able to visit the blue Lagoon either before or after your flight as it is near the airport.
