You need to book ASAP to get the fares you see now. Savings fares will rise as tickets sell. Again, do not book the Bayern Tickets, only the trip to FRA and the Munich-Rothenburg trip (if you don't want the Bayern Ticket for that trip.) When you buy, be cautious about dates, times, etc. - make sure you can commit to the travel times as the savings fare allows use only of the trains you schedule - refunds are expensive and a bit of trouble.

Ok, will do. Thanks. Is there a card (Bahn) that I can purchase for my local trains for 5 days, if that can save money?

Greg - Not sure how you found the Munich - Würzburg ICE for 19 EUR. I see 29 EUR for Aug 11 as lowest.

That €19 does sound too low. But then this is the first mention you made of traveling on the specific date of Aug 11, so there was no way for anyone to check. Maybe a €19 fare was available previously for some dates? €29 is still excellent compared to the walk-up price of €71. I'm surprised the €29 fare is still available now for that date. The low-priced tickets often sell out more quickly... as the travel date gets closer and closer, you will probably have to pay more.

Thanks Fussgaenger, you are right. How much would it cost if I buy tickets for local trains from the station for Mun-Wurz?

You can find that price yourself - just specify "only local transport" under "means of transport" when you do your search at the DB site. The "normalpreis" column will indicate the price of a local/regional train trip.

I'm very sure you will find it cheaper to use the Bayern Ticket day pass for that trip, however - €23 for one.
