5 days in Europe. Where to go?

Hello all! Long time reader, first time poster. So here is my "dilemma". My friend and I will be traveling somewhere (most likely) Europe the weekend before Thanksgiving and staying until the Friday after Thanksgiving. We are traveling standby as my friend is an airline employee and I am listed as her companion. We are going to decide within the departure week where exactly we will fly into, but until then we would love some ideas on where to go! I have been to much of Western Europe before but this is my friend's first visit. I am partial to Rome; her first choice is Ireland. Basically we can go anywhere that Delta flies to and we can fly out of a differing city to return home. I don't want to burn ourselves out; afterall this is a vacation. So, where would YOU go?? Thanks to anyone in advance!
Jeff

Hi cowboy, I don't know how anyone could really answer your question but..wouldn't Rome be warmer than Ireland? Other than that I think this is something you two need to work out. I personally would chose Rome (no big shock given my screen name). Best wishes.

<< I am partial to Rome; her first choice is Ireland. >>

Seems like you have answered you own question.

And I submit that you have time for Venice, or Sicily, or both.

Best wishes,

Rex

Whoops... somehow missed the five days when I composed that part about "also time for..."

I had originally seen it, in the message header, of course, but then misread the actual dates of travel - - thinking that the return was on Friday... _eight_ days after Thxgiving...

She's an airline employee? Persuade here to try Ireland in June, maybe...

Make this a semi-annual event (wink...)
