5 day Barcelona itineary
 

Hi,

Looking for any advice for our 5 day itinerary in Barcelona this May. Especially not sure about day 4, should we have a day trip or more of Barcelona? Thank you in advance.

Day 1. Thu, 28 May

- Arriving by train from Seville (8:50 - 2:25 PM)
- Get to our apartment in El Born
- Barri Gòtic

Day 2. Fri, 29 May

- Sagrada Familia (earliest time slot in the morning?)
- Sant Pau Recinte Modernista
- Park Güell (afternoon)

Day 2. Sat, 30 May

- Las Ramblas
- La Boqueria Market
- Palau Guell
- Font Magic Fountain Show (evening)

Day 3. Sun, 31 May

- Casa Milo (La Pedrera) - do early morning 9:00 so have have empty roof area
- Casa Battlo
- The Basilica of Santa Maria del Mar
- El Born
- Picasso Museum

Day 4. Mon, 1 June

- Day trip or more of Barcelona?

Day 5. Tue, 2 June

- El Born
Our flight is 7:25 PM, so we still have half day of exploring

Are you supposed to have two Day 2 (Friday and Saturday)? Is it five or six days total?

Regarding Sagrada Familia, buy tickets online in advance and walk directly in without having to wait in endless lines. I highly recommend the guided tour. I thought I knew very much about the church, but the English speaking guide added immensely to our experience a couple of years ago. http://visit.sagradafamilia.cat/?lang=en

anyegr - sorry, mistake on my part, copied this itinerary from my full Spain itinerary and made a mistake retyping day numbers, it's 5 nights total and 6 days (but first day is only less than a half day, same with last day)

I will buy Sagrada Familia tickets online for sure, I've read about docent led tours, are those the same when buying guided tour through the official website or is there other special tours?

We bought the guided tour through the official website, top quality.

And a visit to Barcelona is never complete without a visit to 7 Portes from 1836, tons of history in the walls and an institution in town. Traditional and delicious Catalan food. I recommend either Sunday lunch or a late dinner (from about 9.30pm). http://www.7portes.com/angles/

Say, minor thread hijack...Kimhe, can you recommend a restaurant close to the Palau de la Musica? We want to pick up our tickets, then have dinner, then go to a concert, so looking for something nearby. Thanks!

We'll be in Barcelona at the end of September and want to get advance tickets for a performance at the Palau de la Musica Catalana but there seems to be very little on the calendar.
Does anyone know if that's typical for September or whether there will be more performances scheduled?

Is the discount rate for seniors available to out-of-country tourists too? Would we need ID?
Which tower would you suggest? Thanks.
