5-4 star hotel recommendations with quad rooms in Rome and Florence

I will be traveling to Italy next June with my husband and 2 teenage boys. We prefer higher end accomodations but would like to stay in one room. Any suggestions? Thanks.

In a few dozen trips to Italy, I have not found a luxury hotel that has quad rooms. We travel with our two daughters frequently and have either had to get two adjoining rooms or stay in a quad at a three star hotel. The senior suite at the Hotel del Senato in Rome holds four people, but because the second room has a double sofa bed, that might not suit for two teenage boys as it does for my little girls. The Hotel Regency in Florence has suite with two bedrooms that we have used. It is a five star hotel.

Can recommend the Lungarno suites in Florence. One bedroom with two baths. Large sofa bed in livingroom
would require the boys to share but it is a very nice hotel and a 5 star in my opinion.

Look at Hotel Mozart in Rome.

What is your budget? Have you considered renting apartments?

Sorry to be rude - but based on my brothers and his friend I can imagine nothing that would be less of a vacation than to share a room with two teenage boys. When we travled with my two step daughters we always got them a separete room - so we could each have some privacy - and avoid their need to be in the bath about 5 hours per day each.

But sharing a bath with 2 teenage boys - ick!
