$411 RT to London on Virgin Atlantic

For those of you that live in Virgin Atlantic gateways - Travelocity has a fare of $411 between east coast gateways and London on Virgin. I believe it's $471 from the west coast. Just thought I'd share as it includes peak summer travel dates.

Okay dreamathers, when I saw your posting, I about had a heart attack! I recently booked our family of four's flight from San Francisco to London. I immediately went to their site but only found that it was for traveling till March and then in the fall excluding peak summer months. Did I miss something? Wouldn't mind dropping the price; that's if they would even let me.

okay, I went to the Virgin Website instead of the Travelocity one. Found a $400.00 round trip including peak periods but only from the New York area. Tried from San Fran. but it was in the $1100.00 range. Oh well, at least others will get the great rate.

Thanks Sher. I did but by that time, I could get a departure in June but no return. It's pretty much sold out. I could get a return in June but will be traveling for 30 days or a return in Sept.;needless to say, I am a little upset by what I paid in comparison (1134.00), but I am glad others got to take advantage of it.

Well, this is one of those times that we could have booked but actually have plans for October (Portugal).
My brother was to have his 50th birthday party in June in Italy but then it was off again.
If it is on again after those airfares are gone, I will kill him.

Don't fret if you missed this sale. There will be more sales by various airlines targeted at destinations and flights with excess space. Just keep looking--and hoping that your home airport and desired destination are included.

Thanks to dreamathers, I was able to take advantage of the Virgin Atlantic deal, for the summer! I'm sorry namaka had such an impossible time finding the fare.
It probably helped me tremendously that I'm leaving from JFK. I'll go away now.
