40th Birthday Celebration

I am going to be spending my 40th birthday in Paris in November and wondered if anyone had any ideas for memorable evening that won't break the bank. I haven't visited Paris since 1990 and would appreciate any suggestions.

Laurie, considering it's going to be your 40th birthday I would recommend a very sedate evening. Don't push yourself, be aware of the location of the toilets, eat lots of fiber, and make sure somebody knows your whereabouts in case you lose your way. Retire to bed early and avoid any romantic activities that might raise your heart pressure to a dangerous level. Welcome to the 40's.

Oy vay Edna, are you suffering from incontinence of the brain?! Laurie, ignore Edna. I think you should go to the top of the Eiffel Tower on your birthday and then treat yourself to a nice dinner and maybe a beautiful silk scarf or perfume. Being in Paris is going to make it memorable to begin with.

Edna must be some frustrated old one who is jealous of Laurie's 40th.

Thanks for the recommendations and 40 isn't quite my grandma's age, so not quite worried about the Depends yet. I wanted somewhere nice and romantic for dinner. Any suggestions?
