Wow, the Alps are just stunning in autumn! I love your pictures :-) We've previously only seen them in spring and summer... now I am trying to find a way to fit in a trip for next October!

Thanks Collk, I really appreciate it! I do try to keep track of other RTW travelers and especially families.

I am happy to add this one to my list as I did not know about them. They are from my neck of the woods, so I will have to give them a buzz.

I love how they have a focus on kids books for travel like we do.

We have met up with other families doing RTW trips and it is always special.

We are slow travelers, so it always amazes me how much some families can pack into a year. If we did not have our month here and there to just be, I think we would burn out.

I love to read about traveling families! We all learn from each other which is cool.

I think Mozart pretty much loves it all because it is a bit like being on vacation all the time.

She tends to be a joyous type, so she even finds getting up at 4 AM to catch a ferry etc, something to get thrilled about.

She loooves travel talk with anyone we run into that speaks English or Spanish.

She looves all the wonderful playgrounds in Europe which are different than at home.

The highlights for her have been her violin concert in the Sahara for 60 little Berber kids who never saw a violin, her birthday celebrations in Salzburg( 7) and Paris ( 6),getting in the Japanese movie, fishing on the gulet in Turkey,s Turqouise coast and her own room in a 4000 year old cave as Esbelli Evi in Cappadocia.


She loves seeing new things, but she also loves just playing like any other kid,so that is probably a highlight for her too and being with mom and dad so much.

Also as I read more of that other website, I noticed that they said that one would have to pay 30 K per person for a rtw trip, but I have to disagree.

I know a French family ( listed on our blog) of four that traveled the world for 4 years and they only spent 1500 euros per month.

That is closer to our figures. We only spend about 33 dollars a day when in Spain for the winter, but a little more on the road for museums and such.

I just like to let people know that it is possible and does not have to be outrageously expensive. We actually can travel the world for much less than living in California.
