You'd make your major train connections in either Lausanne or in Geneva (if you were staying in Montreux and taking trips around).

I think the best thing is for everyone to go there and see for themselves.

But for those of you who are thinking of Coney Island, it isn't that at all. It's just a town that seems to have been stuck in 1965 or something. That's probably exactly what a lot of people want.
