I will be Solomon (Salome?) and suggest one week in Siena and one week in Rome.

Why not?!

I agree - I think that a week in Rome and Siena would be a nice time to spend in each.

I do not want to split up my 2 weeks. I did this last summer. 1 week in florence and 1 week in taormina sicily. I felt just when I was getting adjusted
it was time for me to move on.

What do you want to do with your 2 weeks? Relax and enjoy small towns, or sight see and get a feel for Big city life in Italy?

If it were me, I'd spend those two weeks in Rome, no question. So much to see and do there, and the nightlife! Plus you can do a number of day trips or longer down south to the Amalfi Coast. Siena you can basically do in a day, and then, what?

Hands down - Rome.

I could easily spend a week there, and have...and not seen everything I want.

There are tons of day trips (Pompeii) that you could take, and you will really feel like you "know" the city after spending that much time there. I doubt very much that you'd experience one instance of boredom with the variety of experiences offered in this wonderful city.

Regards,

Melodie

Totally agree w/ others: ROME
It's a place you could easily spend two weeks and afterwards feel like you've barely skimmed the surface.
