4 people 2 rooms in Rome!!!!??

Travelling to Rome with my husband and two boys. Does anyone have any suggestion for a hotel in Rome that's centrally located where we can get a room for 4 (a quad) for under $300.Euros?

I do not know the current rates, but a few years ago our family stayed in a quad at the Hotel Miami and loved it. Even with 2 small children we never needed mass transit...we walked everywhere. The room itself was quite large, we had a queen bed in one area, and then two twins in another. Very large, nice bathroom as well. The staff were great and very friendly. Would definitely stay there again.

We just returned from Italy. There are 4 of us. Two kids 10,13 and we stayed at the Hotel San Carlo in the Spanish Steps area. The place is awesome. Only 250 euro for a quad. We booked room 77 based on recommendations from this site and we loved it. The only thing is there is no elevator. so you do get a work out. We didn't mind.

Stay in an apartment! Best of both worlds. You can probably get a nice place (very central) for 100-150 Euros.

Eat breakfast at the apartment (buy biscotti at the neighbourhood bakery!) and dinner out.
